A short distance out of town a beautiful trail leads through an ancient cedar grove, over bog walks to a rock bluff above Beaver Pond nestled in the woods below Hogback Mountain. When visited at dusk you might get a glimpse of the active beaver community habituating the pond – very peaceful and relaxing.  

   Uneven ground/hilly/non-strenuous/ about 30 - 45 minute round trip when not lingering at the sunset.  (Fair warning, it's hard not to!)
