This hike combines a beautiful scenic view over Lake Superior and surrounding wilderness with a hike along the rugged shores of the Great Lake. This is one of the most popular trails that people visit regularly. The view from the summit is absolutely breathtaking, you won't want to forget your camera! The hike starts about 5 miles out of Marquette and leads over stairways up to the summit of Sugar Loaf followed by a steep decline through dense woods down to the shoreline; leading along pristine beaches and breathtaking rock formations past Wetmore’s Landing and Little Presque Isle to the mouth of Harlow Creek.
